We come out every morning to greet the
secular ficus trees of Villa Cavallotti and silhouetted against their imposing presence towards the Porta Nuova.
Here everything is history, remember the names of streets and squares, many buildings on the tombstones and monuments that surround us. The
stones of the past Phoenician and Roman ruins wherever they emerge. Bastions, walls and
magnificent gates still surround the historical centre. It is impossible to tell you all about this city, of which we are proud.
We prefer
to invite you to come: we have great pleasure driving
on the tracks that from here Garibaldi made Italy. To accompany you, if you will,
on a path of great spirituality, among the hundred churches of Marsala and the
Santuaries dedicated to Saint Mary of Sorrow, to the ‘Madonna della Cava’ and S. Francis of Paola, named as ‘Santo Padre delle Perriere’. We suggest a long walk in the countryside, in the silence of the vineyards and of the
‘bagli’ (a local typical structure of rural farm),
or, rather, in the urban archaeological sites and museums overflowing
with
memories of all time.
We wait to continue
to tell these stories and others which our wines will have already anticipated the
emotions.
